Site work for a water / sewer project in Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Township Line Road Sanitary Sewer Extension The work to be performed on this project includes providing all labor, equipment and materials to install approximately 550 linear feet of eight (8) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe with 3 precast concrete manholes and associated appurtenances. The eight (8) inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe will be installed in a sanitary sewer easement through property adjacent to Township Line Road as shown on the Contract Drawings and as described in the Contract Specifications. The project also includes furnishing and installing wye fittings and six (6) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe laterals to the edge of the sanitary sewer easement line for each existing property. The project will also include the restoration of all areas disturbed during construction. Restoration of disturbed areas shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents and as described in the Contract Specifications. Questions Due Date: May 7th 2025, 1:00 PM EDT All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer The Plan shows a twenty (20) feet wide sanitary sewer easement around the proposed sanitary sewer to be constructed. The Contractor must keep all earth disturbance, equipment construction materials and all other construction related items within the easement at all times. 2.) The contractor may contact the adjacent property owners to attempt to obtain additional areas for storage of construction materials. Any additional areas obtained by the contractor for storage of construction materials shall be stated in a written agreement between the property owner and the contractor. A copy of this written agreement must be provided to the Township. The contractor must permit access to the existing homes located along the sanitary sewer easement at all times. The contractor must have steel plates or other means readily available on site to temporarily safely secure the sanitary sewer trench to allow property owners access to their property. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Liens. The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442)
