The purpose of this specification is to receive fixed prices and delivery response times for various types of road material for Reeves County Road & Bridge. Reeves County reserves the right to award the bid by line item to whichever bidder makes the lowest and best bid for that particular item. By entering a bid, vendors acknowledge they will accept any item of the bid awarded to them. The vendor shall provide pump and deliver the asphalt to the specified work site of the day, County wide, at the time requested, 7:00 am and no later than 9:00 am, where it shall be transferred to County owned equipment for the application process, 2-hour time allowance for transfer. The County shall provide storage facility for excess asphalt or emulsion. For aggregates: Prevent segregation, mixing of the various materials or sizes, and contamination by foreign materials when aggregates are stockpiled. The Reeves County Engineer, unless otherwise directed, will sample aggregate from stockpiles located at the production site. It is the intention of these specifications that the successful contractors shall furnish and deliver aggregate to Reeves County Road & Bridge. The County reserves the right to order such materials as may be required during the said period, it also reserves the right not to order any materials bid upon by the contractor if it is found that the County does not require such materials during the period of time covered by this agreement.
