The East Hanover Township Municipal Building Kitchen and Toilet Room Renovations Project work involves renovations to the existing Kitchen and Toilet Rooms in the East Hanover Township Building located at 8848 Jonestown Road, Grantville, PA 17028. Bids are requested for the following four (4) contracts: Contract No. 1-General Construction, Contract No. 2-Plumbing Construction, Contract No. 3-HVAC Construction, and Contract No. 4-Electrical Construction. A plan drawing has been prepared by Simply Stated Architecture, PC and is included with this bid package . Please include a contact name, company name,company address, email, and phone number to be included as a Registered Bidder. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Prospective Bidders will be registered with Simply Stated Architecture, PC to receive updates, addenda, lists of registered bidders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through being registered with Simply Stated Architecture, PC. Neither Owner nor Architect will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than Simply Stated Architecture, PC. A Proposal Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bidder's maximum bid price is required to be accompanied with each Bid. Bidders interested in bidding on multiple contracts must submit a separate proposal bond for each contract bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be required from each Successful Bidder. An anti-collusion affidavit is required for this Bid. The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. Each Bid shall be submitted only on the enclosed Proposal Form included in the Bidding Documents. While Bidders may make comments to clarify their bid, Bidders cannot change, modify, delete, alter, amend or make additions to the wording to any of the Bidding Documents, including but not limited to the Agreement. Unauthorized conditions, exceptions, limitations, or provisions attached to a Bid may be cause for rejection of the Bid. Any questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be submitted as Requests for Interpretation and the Bidding Documents may only be modified by Addendum issued by Simply Stated Architecture, PC prior to the Bid opening date. Bidders must comply with all State anti-bid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the Bid. Bidders should refer to provisions of Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. The Project falls under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 141 of 2022, known as the Public Works Verification Act, which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost of this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All Bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination because of race, gender, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or in violation of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and applicable federal laws. All Bidders are required to submit an executed Non-Discrimination Notice indicating it shall in no manner discriminate against or intimidate any employee or subcontractor involved in the manufacture of supplies, the performance of work, or any other activity required under the contract on account of the above. The Township Board of Supervisors reserves the rights to reject any or all Bids; to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in a Bid or the Bid procedure; and to accept any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of the Township. All Bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid for East Hanover Township", bearing the name of the Bidder and "East Hanover Township Municipal Building Kitchen and Toilet Room Renovations Project". If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "Municipal Building Kitchen and Toilet Room Renovations Project BID ENCLOSED" on the face of it.
