**As of July 29,2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Project has been Rebid. Estimated Construction Cost(s): Project A: Eng. II, Bldg. 503 - $952,250 Project B: UCSB Library, Bldg. 525 - $4,377,789 ENGINEERING II OVERHAUL TERMINAL AND PACKAGE UNITS, BLDG. 503 ("Project A"): Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for the project which will overhaul seven (7) air handlers, replace seven (7) hydronic heating coils, and add moisture trapping filters. Work is to include associated ductwork, VFD's, and controls. UCSB LIBRARY CHILLER PLANT REPLACEMENT, BLDG. 525 ("Project B"): Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for the demo of the existing chiller, cooling tower and pumps, provide two new 600 TR centrifugal chillers, associated cooling towers, condenser pumps and VFD's, piping for chilled, condenser and industrial water, control valves and associated HVAC controls, electrical panel board, power all equipment, testing, adjusting, balancing and commissioning, provide new exhaust fan, modify refrigerant monitor system. License Requirement(s): B- (General Building Contractor) AND C-20 (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Bid Security: Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). General Project Information: The successful Bidder and its Subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the Work. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons shall have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University's policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a Bid for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Only bidders who participate in the pre-bid conference, will be allowed to bid on the Project as a prime bidder. Only attendees at the original pre-bid conference will be permitted to schedule a subsequent site visit with the University Representative. In person attendees are advised that there may be traffic congestion and parking may be difficult. Bidders should allow ample time to drive to the above location in heavy traffic, find a parking space, walk to the building, and arrive in the designated meeting room prior to the required time. Any prospective Bidder arriving after the above designated starting time may be disqualified from submitting a bid for this project.
