Engineer Estimate: $75,060.00 for the base bid and $12,767.00 for alternate 1 https://choiceoneengineering.com/bid-tab-archive/ The Project includes the following Work: The replacement of sidewalk in various areas within the northwest quadrant in the Village of Ada.The Contractor will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages. Attention of the Bidder is called to the various insurance requirements provisions. This project is funded through PY'23 CDBG Funds. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project.Bidder must submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: A. Email Project Manager, (Wesley J. Wolters), (wjw@choiceoneengineering.com). If no response within 24 hours call (937-497-0200). Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than 4 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 10 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, letter of credit on a solvent bank, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. A suggested Bid bond form is included in the Bidding Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds: When Contractor delivers the signed counterparts of the Agreement to Owner, Contractor shall also deliver to Owner the performance bond and payment bond (if the Contract requires Contractor to furnish such bonds). The Work will be substantially complete on or before July 31, 2025, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before July 31, 2025. A. Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence as stated in Paragraph 4.01 above and that Owner will suffer financial and other losses if the Work is not completed and Milestones not achieved within the Contract Times, as duly modified. The parties also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving, in a legal or arbitration proceeding, the actual loss suffered by Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty): 1. Substantial Completion: Contractor shall pay Owner $400.00 for each day that expires afterthe time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract)specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete. 2. Completion of Remaining Work: After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $400.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. 3. Liquidated damages for failing to timely attain Milestones, Substantial Completion, and final completion are not additive, and will not be imposed concurrently. L. If Owner recovers liquidated damages for a delay in completion by Contractor, then such liquidated damages are Owner's sole and exclusive remedy for such delay, and Owner is precluded from recovering any other damages, whether actual, direct, excess, or consequential, for such delay, except for special damages (if any) specified in this Agreement.
