The City of Surprise ("the City") is accepting proposals for Fire, Backflow & Cross-Connection Inspection, Installation and Repair Services for the Water Resources Management Department (WRM) per the specifications herein. The intent of the City is to enter into a multi-term contract with a qualified contractor to provide the quality products and services, as needed during each fiscal year, at a fair market price. Final Date/Time for Questions :April 10, 2025, 4:00pm The City is seeking to establish a term contract for Fire, Backflow & Cross-Connection Inspection, Installation and Repair Services for a qualified contractor to provide the services for the Water Resouces Department. The services include but are not limited to the annual testing and inspection by a certified backflow prevention assembly tester, fire flow testing on fire sprinklers systems, and the repair and installation of new fire sprinkler systems. In order to be considered for a contract award, the contractor shall provide the minimum requirements: Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all equipment, tools, parts and supplies needed to perform the inspections. Contractor shall have a fully staffed, full-service office located in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Contractor must be licensed, bonded and insured for the appropriate services. Contractor or the personnel assigned to the City must have and maintain a valid certification for the appropriate services. Contractor shall be a registered backflow tester and will be required to be registered in the current City's online backflow database or application to complete all backflow tests. The City's online database tracks tester certification status and proof of yearly calibration of testing equipment used during the course of the services and during the term of resultant contract. Testing shall be done according to and outlined test procedures provided by the University of Southern California Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research (USC-FCCCHR), tenth (10th) ed., and American Water Works Association (AWWA) according to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality regulations.
