The proposed contract requires manual brushing operations for approximately 356 hectares across nine blocks in the Fort St. John Timber Supply Area. The objective of this project is to reduce competition from broadleaf vegetation, promoting the healthy growth and development of crop trees. Brushing activities will focus on removing or controlling competing shrubs, herbs, and non crop trees species that may impede the establishment and growth of desired tree species. These blocks are being brushed to achieve conifer release towards free growing obligations. The successful contractor will be responsible for all planning brushing operations, including quality control and performance measurements. Access to work areas will be via truck, ATV, or walk-in, with challenging conditions expected due to deactivated access and block roads. Some areas maybe remote and require long drives.
