Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 04/04/2025 2:00 PM (PDT) The City of Riverside's Public Utilities Department (hereinafter referred to as the City), is soliciting Bids (here in after "Bid") from qualified weed abatement contractors (hereinafter "Bidder") to provide the following complete weed abatement services at various Public Utilities facilities on the Gage Canal Reach's. The work to be done, in general, shall include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, unless otherwise specified, to maintain and complete the project in compliance with the Specifications and to the satisfaction of the Administrator. The project involves weed abatement including hand work by mechanical means and / or mowing to clear Canal Reach's fence-line and open space areas on approximately Thirty-Six (36) Canal Reach's. More specifically approx. Sixty-Five (65) acres of area of the Riverside Public Utilities Water Department's Gage Canal sites located in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Canal Reaches are approx. fifty (50') to hundred (100') wide by five hundred (500') to fifteen hundred (1500') in length. Work shall be performed as needed on a quarterly basis, up to four times a year, as more particularly described in Part 3 of these Special Provisions. The Final day for receipt of questions from the Bidder shall be on or before the date stated within the Section 1. Tentative Schedule. To ensure fairness and avoid misunderstandings, all communications must be in written format and submitted only in the format set forth above. Any verbal communications will not be considered or responded to. All questions received by the due date will be logged and reviewed and if required, a response will be provided via an addendum to the RFB that will be posted on the City's website.
