Accepting proposals (fee schedules) for asbestos testing on an as needed basis for upcoming rehab projects located within the Town of Lexington, NY (Greene County) The Town of Lexington is seeking proposals from New York State Certified Asbestos Testing Firms to provide limited asbestos surveys (pre-renovation) in conjunction with a recently awarded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Grant #639HR300-24. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to receive responses from pre-qualified New York State Certified Asbestos Testing firms/individuals to perform limited asbestos surveys (pre renovation) for the Lexington Housing Rehabilitation Grant. Project locations have yet to be identified, however the winning bidder can expect to enter into a contractual agreement to cover the services as outlined, for the duration of the above-mentioned grant which will run through 12/31/2026. The individual or firm selected will undertake the following services: A. All work must be done in compliance with EPA and HUD regulations. B. The services must be performed in accordance with NYSDOL Code Rule 56. D. The asbestos testing firm must provide a report/certification that clearly states what was sampled in relation to the scope of work (which will be provided on a job-to-job basis) and the result of each sample collected. E. Coordinate, schedule and work with WCCRC's project manager A minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability ($500,000 death/disability $500,000 property) and a workers compensation policy is required, proposal shall include copies of current workers compensation and liability insurance Payment will be made by check on a per project basis after the required work is completed, and upon receipt of a detailed invoice showing the service address, description and total amount due.
