This Invitation for Bids will establish required contract(s) unit prices for items related to the work needed to provide safety improvements for the Removal and Replacement of Concrete Curb and Sidewalk Countywide. This work shall include but is not limited to sidewalk, curb and gutter concrete removal, forming and replacement; installation of storm drain inlets, pipes and underdrains; furnishing and installation of related asphalt repairs, paving fabric and retaining walls. The repair and/or replacement of infrastructure components are limited to those identified by the Contract Administrator or Designee. Work under this Contract will be located within the political boundaries of Montgomery County, Maryland. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to be knowledgeable of the variety and scope of the County roadway infrastructure at the time of bid. The Contractor acknowledges and understands that the County maintains the sole authority to determine program/project scope, pay items, and estimated/final quantities of each item for all Task Orders. Additionally, the County intends to utilize any item, regardless of bid price or quantity stated in the IFB to ensure the County receives the best value in each project scenario. The Contractor shall not rely on previous quantities used, historical quantities or combination of items, previous agreements, or previous Contracts, when entering into this agreement or as a basis to dispute project scope, use of items, or sequence of work. This Summary Description does not in any way limit any scope of work, contractor responsibilities or requirements as outlined in this Solicitation. Contractors are responsible for each, and every applicable Bid Quotation Item (Section F) and all of the Terms and Conditions include or referenced herein.
