Reference Number 0000385509 Purchase Type Duration: 1 year Option: Three 1-Year Renewals This Invitation for Bids for Tree Maintenance and Removal Services is to establish a price agreement contract for various tree maintenance operations and/or removal of trees located on the publicly maintained rights-of-way within the political boundaries of Montgomery County, Maryland. Work to be performed under the terms of this contract includes but is not limited to the removal of dead, dying or diseased trees; the correction of structural defects, crown cleaning, crown raising, crown thinning, and restoration pruning. All pruning, trimming, tree removal, and disposal of waste from tree work performed under this contract must be accomplished in strict compliance with all pertinent County, State, and Federal regulations; and all pertinent American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. To improve operational efficiency, the contractor may dispose of an agreed upon quantity of wood waste at approved county depots or other facilities at the discretion of the Contract Administrator. This permission is not guaranteed and may be revoked at any time without prior notice. All questions and requests for clarification on the IFB must be submitted in writing by email to the technical contact and / or non-technical contact identified on the Bid Cover Sheet and delivered no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to the scheduled date of bid opening.
