**As of June 9,2025, the project was awarded to Veit & Company Inc., with an awarded amount of $120,999.10 .** Site Directions: Project is located on and near Witte Rd, immediately west of State Highway 33, 7 miles north of Cloquet, MN, including a smaller culvert replacement along the Saginaw Grade/Lumberjack Multi-use Trail near the primary Witte Rd crossing. The South St. Louis Soil and Water Conservation District (hereinafter, the Funding Agency) is soliciting Bids for the Railroad Creek and Tributary Culvert Replacements Project (hereinafter, the Project), which includes: DESCRIPTION OF BASE BID WORK ITEMS Work to replace an undersized culvert under Witte Road with a 14 1 single span aluminum box culvert. The Work entails removal and disposal of existing structure, temporary stream diversion, and installation of aggregate culvert footings and rip rap stream bed material. DESCRIPTION OF ALTERNATE BID WORK ITEMS Work to replace an undersized culvert under the Saginaw Grade/Lumberjack Multi-use Trail with a 49 single span bottomless culvert. The Work entails removal and disposal of existing structure, temporary stream diversion, and installation of aggregate culvert footings. The Project is being constructed on property owned by Brevator Township and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, (hereinafter, the Owners). This Project is made possible by grants provided by the State of Minnesota and the Board of Water and Soil Resources. The Funding Agency will be the main point of contact for contracting-related questions. The mission of the South St Louis Soil and Water Conservation District is to provide technical, educational, and financial resources to land occupiers in order to implement practices and projects that preserve, protect, and enhance water quality and other natural resources.
