Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed improvements consist of the construction of new sidewalk along Evans Street and Bond Street to connect Morton Square Park with Constitution Gardens. Sidewalk removal, Curb and gutter replacements and driveway replacements adjacent to the sidewalk improvements are also included in the work. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. Prime Contractors have an obligation to make a good faith effort to advance the City's commitment to increase diversity among the firms working on City construction projects. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
