Site work and new construction of a swimming pool in Aledo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 25,340-square-foot swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.

Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. Project Identification: Family Aquatic Center Project Description: The project consists of a new approximate 4,450 SF L-Shaped Activity Pool (Pool A); an approximate 3,790 SF Spray/Splash Pad (Pool B); associated pool mechanical systems; about 17,100 SF of net pool deck area; an approximate 4,430 SF bathhouse; and associated site improvements. The project is located at 110 SE Third Avenue in Aledo, Illinois, and is across from the Fire Station and Historical Train Depot. The existing site formerly had grain storage silos on it. These have since been removed, and the site is relatively flat. Site improvements include: site preparation for new swimming pools, concrete pool deck and perimeter fencing, on-site storm detention, onsite parking, and coordination/tie-in to existing and new utilities. Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location. A Bid Tabulation form will be available to all General Contractor bidders who are present at the Bid Opening. An electronic copy of the Bid Tabulation form will be made available to bidders within 24 hours of the Bid Date and Time. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of (5%) five percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of (45) forty-five days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed (and subject to final IDPH approval) and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to compliance with 30 ILCS 570/ (Employment of Illinois Worker on Public Works Act); 820 ILCS 130/.01 (Illinois Prevailing Wage Act); and 820 ILCS 130/5 (Certified Payroll) shall be mandatory.
