BID SECURITY: All bids shall be submitted electronically and shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to Ozaukee County in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Ozaukee County as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the bid opening. FEDERALLY FUNDED: Ozaukee County will be utilizing Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding, administered by WisDOT, for all construction costs, and federal provision and requirements apply. Federal provisions made part of, but not limited to this contract include Buy American Preference, Foreign Trade Restriction, Davis Bacon, Affirmative Action, and Drug Free Workplace. AFFERMATIVE ACTION: All bidders are notified that it will be affirmatively insured that in any contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The project DBE Goal is discretionary. PRIME CONTRACTOR PARTICIPATION: Prime contractor must perform at least 30% of the original contract amount with the contractor's own organization.
