Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Gibbsboro, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
DISCLAIMER: If a Contractor wants to bid on this project they MUST purchase/obtain the bid documents directly from Key Engineers by calling 856-767-6111, ext 10 or 13 Scope of Work: The Contractor shall utilize the existing roadway as a construction entrance. Theroadwayshould be cleaned as needed or as directed by the Camden County Soil ConservationDistrictand the Borough Engineer, to eliminate the traffic hazards and any undesirableconditions,which have been determined by the Borough. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the relaying of utilityserviceswiththerespective utility company. The cost for this shall be no specific payment. The Contractor shall commence with the construction of the lowest (inelevation) structureandwork towards the upper ends of the project. No trenches shall be left openovernight. Thecontractor shall also provide all necessary traffic devices for protectionfor motoristsandpedestrians. At the end of each night, the covered trench shall be rolledsmoothlyforsafepassage by vehicles and pedestrians. Metal trench plates that are properlysecuredforsafepassage for all vehicles, including but not limited to emergency vehicles throughout thenight,shall be acceptable. The Contractor shall maintain all backfilledtrenches until thefinalbituminous pavement is installed. The contractor shall maintain the trenchwithTemporaryAsphalt (19M64 Base Course) Trench Pavement, 3" Thick until the final pavement crosssectionis constructed. The temporary trench pavement material shall be gradedtoprovideasmooth,even surface which is flush with the adjacent existing pavement. It is absolutely necessary to provide temporary by-passing for this project toproperlycompletethe project. The contractor shall be required to submit a detailed descriptionof themethodorbypass system to be utilized during construction at the Pre-constructionMeeting. NoSpecificPayment will be made for the sanitary sewer bypass system. Therefore, thecost shallbeincluded in various items in the Proposal. The project consists of milling and overlaying of the roadway, as well as sewer andcurbtrenchreconstruction. The project also consists of sanitary sewer and concrete improvementsandvarious incidental items as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall sawcut the existing pavement in the areas designatedbytheEngineertoremove existing pavement to permit the replacement of terra-cotta pipe main, sewerlaterals,sanitary sewer manholes and roadway reconstruction. All excavatedmaterialsshall notbeutilized as backfill material; they shall be removed fromthe site by the Contractor anddisposedof at a lawful disposal facility provided by the Contractor, at his expense. Anydamagetotheroadway outside of the designated limits shall be restored by the Contractor at his expense. The sanitary sewer improvements include demolishing and constructingnewprecast sanitarymanholes, sanitary sewer laterals, removing 181' of Terra-Cotta Pipe SanitarySewerMain,installing 181' of 8" Diameter P.V.C. Sanitary Sewer Pipe, SDR-35, 52 feet of 8"DiameterP.V.C.Sanitary Sewer Main, SDR-35 Point Repair, Complete and Slipline 1,406linearfeetof8"Diameter Cured-In-Place Pipe (C.I.P.P.) Improvements will be installedwithSelect BackfillDesignation I-11, No. 8 Stone Bedding and Soil Stabilization Fabric as depictedontheConstruction Plans and/or as directed by the Engineer. The project also includes the construction of the following: 6"x 8"x 18" Concrete Curb, Class 'B' Concrete Sidewalk and Curb Ramp, 4" Thick, Class 'B' Concrete Driveway Apron/Sidewalk, 6" Thick, Class 'B' Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), PublicContracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and all other applicable Federal, County, StateandMunicipal laws, rules and regulations. "This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds fromtheNewJerseyDepartment of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank. NeithertheStateof New Jersey, the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank nor any of their departments, agenciesoremployees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contractorsubcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9and10." Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 10:5-33: "Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127." N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17(g) All applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement andawardof buildingcontracts or sub-agreements must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal TreasuryList(Department Circular 570--Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds), incorporatedhereinbyreference. Copies of this document may be obtained fromthe Department. The project or contract is funded in part by the New Jersey Environmental InfrastructureTrustandthe successful bidder must comply with all the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1et seq. fortheparticipation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by sociallyandeconomicallydisadvantaged individuals (SEDs).
