DESCRIPTION OF IMPROVEMENT The improvement consists of removal and replacement of the existing bridges at Lehigh Avenue over East Lake Avenue and Meacham Road over the West Branch of Salt Creek. There will be no salvage of either existing structure. Lehigh Avenue shall be demolished and reconstructed in three stages and includes an aesthetic concrete finish and bridge rails. Meacham Road shall be demolished and reconstructed in two stages with associated minor drainage improvements. Lehigh Ave over E Lake Ave: The proposed improvement begins at Station 16+24.18 on Lehigh Ave and extends south for 1,391 feet (0.26 miles). The project is located within the Village of Glenview in Cook County. Meacham Rd over West Branch Salt Creek : The proposed improvement begins at Station 242+50.00 and extends north for 4,650 feet (0.88 miles). The project is located within the Village of Elk Grove and the Village of Schaumburg.
