The scope of work for the intended contract shall include, but is not limited to the following: o Replacing bulbs for street light luminaire and signal light luminaire. o Trouble shooting for street light luminaire and signal light luminaire. o Trouble shooting photocells for the street light luminaire. o Repair or replace pedestrian pedestals. o Trouble shoot electrical problems within street light luminaire circuitry lighting and traffic signal lights. o Repair or replace light poles. o Other electrical services as directed by the project manager. Perform as-needed maintenance and repair of street light luminaire, signal light luminaire and non-mandatory electrical services as defined in the Scope of Work and located in the Juneau, Alaska area unless otherwise designated in accordance with the contract documents. The State may opt to offer renewal of this contract for Three (3) additional one (1) year periods. The completion date for this work is 06/30/2026. It is the policy of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) that no person shall be excluded from participation in, or be denied benefits of, any programs or activities we provide based on race, religion, gender, age, marital status, ability, or national origin, regardless of the funding source including Federal Transit Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Highway Administration and State of Alaska Funds. Any project in excess of $100,000 must be bonded. The undersigned proposes to furnish Payment Bond in the amount of 50% and Performance Bond in the amount of 50% (of the contract), as surety conditioned for the full, complete and faithful performance of this contract. (See Bid Bond Sheet 25D-14, Payment Bond SPC-005 and Performance Bond SPC-006 forms. Quotes for furnishing all Labor, equipment and materials and performing all work for the above Project are invited. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) may submit quotes and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, colour, national origin or sex in consideration for an Award which results from this invitation. The bidder shall [MUST] have a valid Alaska business license at the time the contract is awarded. To qualify as an Alaska bidder under AS 36.30.321, a bidder shall have a valid Alaska business license at the time designated in the invitation for quotes for quote opening. Bidders are required to submit evidence of a valid Alaska Business License in accordance with AS 43.70.020 and 12 AAC 12.020. The bidder must be registered as an Electrical Administrator or employ a person whose Electrical Administrator's license is assigned to the bidder at the time designated for bid opening. This requirement cannot be met by a subcontractor. Subcontractors intended to be utilized on this contract must be listed in the response to the solicitation. Work shall not be awarded to any subcontractor without prior approval from the procurement Agency. Subcontractors may be added or removed only as approved by the procurement Agency. The Department of Labor requires an Offeror to be licensed and registered for the required type of work prior to submitting a quote. If the procurement Agency determines the Offeror is improperly registered or licensed, their quote may be deemed nonresponsive.
