Reference Number 0000382593 The Project generally consists of providing the necessary materials, equipment, and labor to replace five (5) existing AC units located on the roof of the Apple Valley Sherrif's Department building located at 14931 Dale Evans Pkwy, Apple Valley, CA 92307. Question Acceptance Deadline 04/17/2025 04:00 PM EDT Questions can be sent by email to rberger@applevalley.org. Questions are submitted online No Bids shall be valid for sixty (60) Working Days after the bid opening date. Work shall include: o Preparation of five (5) existing AC units for extraction to include removing all lines (gas, electrical, drain, etc.). o Removal of five (5) existing AC units from their existing rooftop location o Place five (5) new AC units onto the rooftop o Secure and seal units to existing curbs. o Install existing electrical service disconnection boxes. o Install and connect high and low voltage wiring. o Install and connect new gas lines with drip legs and local shut off valves. o Install new copper drain lines to existing drain connections. o Install economizers on units and program. o Install new Town provided zone controller for only (1) RTU. o Install new Town provided Ventstar thermostat(s) in areas needed. o Program existing zone controller and thermostats. o Test and check units operations. o Recover refrigerant from and dispose of old units. Work on the Project shall be completed within 10 working days (Monday through Friday). The anticipated award date is May 13, 2025, and work is expected to begin no later than June 2, 2025. Prebid meeting info : Prospective bidders may not visit the Site without making arrangements through the Town's Facilities Department or the Project Manager. Bids will not be accepted from any Bidder who does not attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Town in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the Town with Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price, prior to execution of the Contract. Each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: C-20 The Town shall award the Contract for the Work to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as determined from the base bid alone by the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
