**As of May 13, 2025, the project was awarded to Ortco, Inc. but the awarded amount is not available.** San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools will receive sealed bids, up to but not later than the time fixed above, for a contractor to remove and dispose of the existing pour-in-place rubber surface from both the upper and lower playgrounds, and to install a new pour-inplace rubber surface that matches at the Apple Valley Early Education Center (Apple Valley EEC). Any questions regarding the bid should be reduced to writing and submitted via email to Maria Aldaco, Procurement Specialist, at Bids@sbcss.net no later than 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 25, 2025. RFI RESPONSE: Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Bids shall remain open, valid, and subject to acceptance anytime within ninety (90) days after the bid opening date and time unless otherwise stipulated. No Bid Bond will be required for this project. However, the awarded Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the total contracted amount. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor at the time of the bid pursuant to the Business and Professions Code, and such license(s) shall remain in active and good standing for the duration of the contract. The successful bidder must maintain the license throughout the duration of this contract. Bidders responding to this bid must possess the following California Contractor's - LICENSE CLASSIFICATION: B - General Building Contractor, and/or D-12 - Synthetic Products Contractor and/or D34 - Prefabricated Equipment. This is a public works project as defined in Labor Code section 1720. Each Contractor bidding on this Project and all Subcontractors (of any tier) performing any portion of the work must comply with the Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 and must be adequately and currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") and qualified to perform public works pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 throughout the duration of the Project. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall furnish certified payroll records as required pursuant to Labor Code section 1776 directly to the Labor Commissioner in accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4 on at least a monthly basis (or more frequently if required by the SUPERINTENDENT or the Labor Commissioner) and in a format prescribed by the Labor Commissioner.
