UW Milwaukee Chemistry Building Abatement & Demolition No verbal explanation or instructions will be given in regard to the meaning of the drawings or specifications during 10 the bid period. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least 11 ten (10) days before MEP bidding commences. If a project does not include any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or 12 fire protection divisions of work, bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the 13 Architects/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before GPC or AAC bid opening. Prompt clarification will be 14 supplied to all bidders of record by addendum. In general, the work consists of: The abatement and demolition of the existing Chemistry Building. This project scope also includes demolition of the Chemistry building loading dock, and other site improvements, construction of a stone ramp for access to the site, disconnect of existing Chemistry Building utilities, construction of basement and sub-basement wall reinforcing, and backfill and compaction of fill in basement and sub-basement. All bidders are encouraged to attend this Pre-Bid Conference and no separate tours will be conducted. Walkthroughs of the site and existing building will take place after the pre-bid conference. Representatives from the A/E's office will be available to take questions for answer in addendum.
