Renovation of a library in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Approximate quantities are as follows: Remove Minimum 2 Layers of Conventional Shingles 1 LS Install Architectural Fiberglass Shingles (estimated 9,050 SF) 1 LS Remove Existing Cedar Siding 1 LS Install Moisture Barrier, Hardie Siding with Smart Board Trim (estimated 9,040 SF) 1 LS Remove & Replace Facia 550 LF Remove & Replace Down Spouts 100 LF Remove & Replace Gutter 205 LF Remove & Replace Window 51 EA This is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities on the Bid Schedule are inserted only for the purpose of determining the lowest responsible bidder. LEGAL PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54, 62.15, 66.0901, and 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. BID SECURITY: All sealed bids submitted to the Village of Hales Corners shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Village of Hales Corners in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Village of Hales Corners as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract Price. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Village of Hales Corners has the right to reject or accept any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Village. Bids and proposals must be sealed and addressed to the Village of Hales Corners, Wisconsin. There shall appear on the envelope of each bid and proposal, the name and address of the bidder and the purpose for which the proposal is intended. No proposal will be considered which is not made out on the regular forms furnished by the Village.
