Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Martin, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: Contract HMA base crushing and shaping, concrete curb and gutter, cold milling, drainage structures, HMA surfacing, pavement markings, restoration, and various appurtenances on Templeton Street, University Street, Edwards Street, Chalmers Street, and Lee Street. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. Theuse of local contractors and labor is encouraged.A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable withoutcondition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, inan amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90)days.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a PaymentBond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the ContractDocuments.
