Question Deadline 05/05/2025 at 2:00 PM PT All general inquiries regarding the bid or issues with the District Online Bid Platform are to be directed to Facilities 28 Business Department, FacilitiesBusiness@sanjuan.edu Project" shall mean the total design and construction of the work of improvement described in the Contract 19 Documents, of which the Work may be the whole or a part and which may include construction by District or by 20 separate contractors. Scope of Work includes but is not limited to: Repair structural beam attached to canopy at the gymnasium; misc. 6 repairs to roof or adjacent poles; add bollards adjacent to canopy. 7 8 Included: 9 10 1. Furnish and install all labor, material and equipment for all Work shown and/or specified in accordance with 11 the Contract Documents, except as excluded below. 12 2. This Scope of Work also applies to all applicable awarded alternates. 13 3. Information provided under "Also Included" points out some items which may be considered less obvious or 14 "unconventional," but which are included in the Scope of Work. 15 4. This Bid Package Description is intended to clarify scope to the Contractor, but is in no way intended to limit 16 scope that is reasonable inferable as being required by the Work included in this description. Work required 17 may be shown or specified anywhere in the Contract Documents. 18 19 Also included but not limited to as applicable and/or directed: 20 21 1. Trenching/compaction and backfill Work. 22 2. Concrete/asphalt patching Work. 23 3. All demolition and removal and/or replacement of Work associated with this Bid Package. 24 4. Coordination with other Contractors working on this campus. 25 5. Perform an electronic underground existing utility survey by a qualified underground utility locator service 26 company in all areas where trenching operations will be performed. An as-built record drawing (one hard 27 copy and one copy on electronic media prepared in AutoCAD is required to be submitted at the conclusion of 28 the underground scope of Work. 29 6. Weather protection during the course of construction (See Section 00 72 00, General Conditions). 30 7. Temporary barricades, signs, pedestrian protection, temporary facilities and traffic control Work. 31 8. Daily and final clean-up is required. 32 9. Qualified/certified technicians must perform the replacement and/or repair of all landscape, irrigation, 33 asphalt/concrete surfaces and above or below grade utilities disturbed during construction, and the District 34 must be given the opportunity to test and accept the Work prior to covering up. 35 10. Patching, repairing, painting and/or replacement of all finished surfaces disturbed during construction. 36 11. Final testing of all systems installed prior to final acceptance. 37 12. Qualified/certified C-7 licensed technicians must perform the replacement and/or repair of existing low voltage 38 systems disturbed during construction, and the District must be given the opportunity to test and accept the 39 Work prior to covering up. 40 13. Provide temporary means of operation for existing storm, water, sewer, gas, mechanical, electrical, and low 41 voltage systems during construction. 42 14. A full-time superintendent shall be provided for the project. See Section 00 72 00, General Conditions. 43 15. The use of the District's proprietary communication / documentation software will be required. 44 16. Contractor to perform ball/flush/camera of all affected sanitary sewer and/or storm drains prior to and post 45 construction. Video shall be turned over to the District and should include audio and locations. 46 17. Any campus utility interruptions require a minimum of a 48-hour notice to the District Representative for 47 coordination purposes. 48 Contractor shall provide a $2,000,000 excess/umbrella policy (refer to Section 00 72 00, Section 3.14.A.3).
