Vacant Structure Removal With Hazardous Materials Abatement / Removal Various Municipalities, County of Cambria Commonwealth of Pennsylvania abatement / removal of hazardous materials, demolition, site clearance and site restoration activities of seven (7) separate and distinct sites located in various municipalities (Boroughs of Brownstown, East Conemaugh, Hastings and Northern Cambria, and the Townships of Portage and Susquehanna), within the County of Cambria, Pennsylvania. The Contract involves the demolition of eight (8) structures, which may or may not contain hazardous materials that could be affected by demolition activities. The activities are being funded through the Cambria County Act 152 Demolition Funds Program. Document info : The deposit shall be refunded only to those persons who submit a proper Bid Proposal and return the Contract Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after the opening of bids; otherwise the deposit shall be non-refundable. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, at par value, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid for Demolition and Site Clearance, exclusive of any deduction for salvage, shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds before the awarding of the Contract. Inspections of the structures identified potential Asbestos Containing Materials and/or other hazardous materials within several of the structures to be demolished and razed under this Contract. t. The applicable Asbestos Survey Reports are included in the Contract Documents for information and review. The Bidder shall visit all seven (7) project sites and inspect the property prior to bidding and familiarize himself with the existing conditions and nature of all material to be removed at the site which will affect the conduct of the work and the associated costs thereof. All hazardous materials that may be found shall be removed in strict adherence to DEP, EPA and OSHA regulations. All demolition, abatement and disposal activities will comply with all local, state and federal regulations. In addition, all prospective Bidders are required to present proof of an acceptable disposal method approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection with the Bid. The proof may consist of a copy of a State Solid Waste Disposal Permit to the prospective Bidder by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, or a letter of approval for the use of a proposed or existing disposal facility which has a permit or is under review for a permit. The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to readvertise or to waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
