GENERAL The City of Sandersville is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide repairing and resurfacing services. The city has identified the following road as the focus of this project: o 1100 fall Line FWY Treatment Plant Dr. Approximately 940' x 13'. STATEMENT OF INTENT It is the intention of the city to make repairs and resurface the Road leading to the Treatment plant. This includes making repairs to existing road and adding a 6" layer of Asphalt. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor agrees to furnish all the labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary to complete in every detail the street resurfacing in strict accordance with the contract documents. LUMP SUM: The Contractor shall provide to the City of Sandersville a lump sum price for the completion of work. The City at their discretion may choose to award a bid or rebid the project should they vote to do so. PAYMENT: The Contractor shall be entitled to one final payment only. Before any payment is made, the Contractor shall furnish to the City a complete itemized bill. Final payment will be made within thirty (30) days after the completion of the work and acceptance of the work by the City. Final payment shall not relieve the Contractor of responsibility for faulty materials or workmanship, and he shall remedy any defects due thereto and pay for any damages to other work resulting there from which shall appear for a period of one year from the date of final acceptance. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities in the bid process, to award any bid or portion of a bid which is deemed to be the most advantageous to the City of Sandersville and to make such investigations as are deemed necessary to determine the ability of the vendor to perform the services requested.
