Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Sackville, New Brunswick. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Phased dykeland system upgrades along the Chignecto Isthmus, which is located along the border between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It is the only road and rail connection between the two provinces and is found near the Northumberland Strait and the Bay of Fundy. Scope of work includes: upgrades to existing dyke sections; construction of new dyke sections on the inland side of the existing alignment; construction of site access roads and associated works required for infrastructure operations and maintenance; and the development and restoration of natural infrastructure. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. The Chignecto Isthmus Climate Change Adaptation Engineering and Feasibility Study was completed by the Consultant in 2022. RFP for design is tentative for 2026. Further update may be available late spring/early summer 2026. ***Value represents total estimated project costs.
