Renovation of a transportation facility in Sackville, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
VIA plans to carry out critical platform rehabilitation work at the Sackville station to support the objective of providing a smarter and safer travel experience for passengers. Platform curb rehabilitation including localized curb replacement, interim structural repairs, targeted platform repairs such as nosing, drainage and safety lines, corrective measures for immediate health and safety concerns, and night work coordination near active railway right of way.pdf) The General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years' experience, and subcontractors must have at least 5 years' experience in their respective fields. Tenderers must provide proof of minimal insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability Insurance of $10,000,000, Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of $5,000,000, and All Risks insurance policy. Additional insurance must comply with requirements of the track infrastructure owner noted in CNs Work Permit Application. A bid bond (10%) issued in favor of VIA is required, along with a letter from a recognized financial institution confirming that Performance Bond (50%) and Material & Labour Bond (50%) will be issued upon contract award. Tenderers must agree to comply with all requirements and VIA's Contractor Safety Guidelines, and must have attended the mandatory site visit.
