Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
** As of 05/14/2025 project has been awarded to DLS Contracting, Inc. with an awarded amount of $265,046.10.** The work to be performed under this contractincludes the following: BASE BID - Milling and resurfacing of Tom Hunter Road from Anderson Avenue (CR-29) to LemoineAvenue (NJ-67). Contract work also includes reconstruction of sidewalks, driveways, curbs, upgrading noncompliant ADA curbramps, ancillary drainage improvements, and installation of Regulatory and Warning Signs.ALTERNATE BID - Contract workincludes reconstruction of sidewalks, driveways, and curbs at certain locations on Tom Hunter Road as shown on the plans.Principal items of work in the project include:BASE BID - 6,145 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less - 900 TON Hot Mix Asphalt9.5M64 Surface Course - 340 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick - 1,075 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb - 4,175 L.F.Polymerized Joint Adhesive ALTERNATE BID - 60 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick - 135 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribedforms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statementcompliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of notless than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payableto the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, theContract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to theOwner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithfulperformance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurancerequired by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaidOwner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by propercertificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.An original and two (2) copies of thebid documents must be submitted to and be received by the Borough prior to the time and place stated in the Legal Notice toBidders. Said bids shall be addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of Fort Lee, Borough Hall, 309 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ07024. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of thebidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the TOM HUNTER ROAD RESURFACING.The successful bidder will berequired to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor.Unlessotherwise permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3, all bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand availablefor a period of sixty (60) days in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner and Bidder may agree to hold bids forconsideration for a longer period of time, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24.The Owner reserves the right to reject bidspursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-materialexceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq.
