Contract work also includes reconstruction of sidewalks, driveways, curbs, upgrading noncompliant ADA curbramps, ancillary drainage improvements, and installation of Regulatory and Warning Signs.ALTERNATE BID - Contract workincludes reconstruction of sidewalks, driveways, and curbs at certain locations on Tom Hunter Road as shown on the plans.Principal items of work in the project include:BASE BID - 6,145 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less - 900 TON Hot Mix Asphalt9.5M64 Surface Course - 340 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick - 1,075 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb - 4,175 L.F.Polymerized Joint Adhesive ALTERNATE BID - 60 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick - 135 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribedforms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statementcompliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of notless than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payableto the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, theContract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to theOwner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithfulperformance and payment of the Contract.
