The project consists of, but is not limited to, the patching and preparation of existing conditions for, and painting of various interior wall finishes. Bids must be made upon Specification Section 002000, FORM OF BID and shall include a certified check, cashier's check, or by Bid Bond drawn to the order of the SALEM CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. The bid shall also be accompanied by an executed Consent of Surety in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, agreeing to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the stated principal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, and a two-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Registered Bidders must submit substitution requests or any questions concerning the project to the Architect on Form 006001 BIDDER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION included in the Project Manual no later than 4:00 PM Wednesday, 23 April 2025. The Architect will not respond to questions received by those other than registered Bidders. The SALEM CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION has the right to award the contracts within sixty (60) days of the bid opening and reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions, as may be permitted by law.
