The work consists of abatement, demolition and renovations to three classroom wings at the John Wallace Middle School, 71 Halleran Dr., Newington, CT 06111. The following trades are included in the bid with requirements for Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Certified small business enterprise firms: Cleaning (1.01), Tile & Flooring (1.08), Painting (1.09), Fire Alarm & Communications (1.14). All set aside bidders shall submit a current DAS Certificate with their bid. The following trades shall be pre-qualified by DAS for the respective trade: General Trades (1.05), Mechanical (1.12) and Electrical (1.13). The following trades are also included in this project: Abatement & Demo (1.02), Masonry (1.03), Aluminum Openings (1.04), Millwork (1.06), Acoustical Ceilings (1.07), Fire Protection (1.10), Plumbing (1.11) and Security (1.15). The contractors selected to perform this State project must comply with CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a60, 4a-60a, 4a-60g, and 46a-68b through 46a-68f, inclusive, as amended by June 2015 Special Session Public Act 15-5.
