As of August 15, 2025, this project has been awarded. Information regarding the awarded general contractor has not been disclosed. Mt. Hood Community College ("MHCC") seeks responses from qualified bidders to provide remodel improvements to the space for the creation of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Stations. If this is a Public Works project, all requirements applicable to Public Works projects apply to this project. In addition, MHCC has chosen to apply the requirements applicable to Public Improvement projects to this project whether or not it is a Public Improvement project. Therefore, throughout this ITB, wherever there is a reference to or requirement concerning Public Improvements, it will apply equally to this project. Therefore, if there is a provision stating a requirement for a Public Improvement project, MHCC is applying the same requirement to the project, whether or not otherwise required. This ITB, including all Addenda to the ITB, are posted on the Oregon buys and will not be mailed to prospective bidders. Bidders should consult the Oregon buys System regularly until Bid Closing to avoid missing any Addenda. Mt Hood Community College is renovating the former cosmetology lab on its Gresham Campus into a new open floor lab space for advanced manufacturing training stations. The scope of work will include and is not limited to the following: o Removal of all interior walls and finishes, doors, and ceilings. o Abatement of all hazardous materials (asbestos and lead paint). o Patch and repair of existing perimeter walls and polishing of existing concrete floor o Installation of a new suspended ceiling system with recessed lighting. o Modification of existing HVAC system o New electrical and low voltage distribution within space. A Bid Security in the form of a Bid bond as per Section 7-Form of Bid Bond, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, certified check, or cashier's check for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the submitted Bid, payable to Mt. Hood Community College shall accompany each Bid exceeding $100,000, as per Section 3, 1.02. Bid Security of the successful Bidder will be returned or released when the Bidder's formal written Contract, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Certificates of Insurance have been properly executed, delivered to and accepted by MHCC. If the successful bidder fails to (1) execute the Contract, (2) furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, or (3) furnish certificates of insurance within seven (7) calendar days of the written notification of intent to award a Contract, then MHCC may cash the check, draw under the letter of credit or otherwise collect under the Bid Security. Bidders are required by ORS 701.021 to be licensed with the State of Oregon Construction Contractors Board. Contractor shall cause its employees and/or subcontractors, if any, to authorize MHCC to conduct these background checks. Bidder shall submit to MHCC a Bidder's Responsibility Information Form as per Section 6 Bidder's Qualifications. MHCC reserves the right to verify information provided on this form in determining the Bidder's qualifications to perform the Work.
