Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Stow Creek, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
It is expressly understood that the bidder is responsible forgetting the bid proposals to the Sow Creek Township School District prior to the time and date set for the bid opening. Any bidreceived after the closing time will be returned unopened. In order to be considered, bids must be sealed, and the outerenvelope clearly marked with the name of the bidder and the following: Reconstruction of the Stow Creek Township SchoolParking Lot. The bidders are requested to submit in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18(b)(2) a Lump Sum Bid (quantities &unit prices) and two (2) alternates (quantities & unit prices) for all the work and materials. In accordance with N.J.S.A.18A:18A-26, (Classification of Bidders as Requisite to Bidding on Public Work), where bids will exceed Twenty ThousandDollars ($20,000.00), the Bidder and its prime subcontractors (if applicable) must be classified and prequalified by the NewJersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") prior to the time and datethat bids are received. Bidder shall be classified/prequalified by the DPMC for the categories applicable to this project - (C019Concrete/Foundation, Footings/Masonry Work, C056 Sewer Piping & Storm Drains, C060 Athletic Fields/Tracks/Courts, C059Road Construction and Paving, C054 Site Work,) Additionally, as of the date of the bid opening, if the Bidder is not DPMCclassified/prequalified in the above listed categories, Bidder will be required to subcontract with subcontractors that areclassified/prequalified, such subcontractors shall be named in the bid, and all documents required by the bid instructions andlaw for the subcontractors shall be provided. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or Bid Bond inthe form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than10% of the Base Bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24), naming as payee or oblige,as applicable, Stow Creek Township School District, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in ContractDocuments in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurancecertificates as required by Contract Documents. Prospective bidders are advised that this Project is also subject to thefollowing legal requirements:(a) Prevailing Wage Rates N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et. seq., ( b ) Use of Domestic Materials, N.J.S.A.18A:18A-20 including any amendments and supplements thereto, (c) Ownership Disclosure Certification N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2,and (d) Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran in accordance with P.L.2012, c.25 and N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-49.4. Pursuant toN.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., the Contractor must be registered with the Department of Labor at the time of Bid. Pursuant toN.J.S.A. 52:32-44 all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registeredwith the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue beforethe contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business. All bidders shall adhere to the information classified as"New Jersey Business Registration Requirements". In addition, and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each bid must beaccompanied by a certificate from a surety company obligating the surety to provide said bidder with a performance andpayment bond in the full amount of the contract. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set foropening of bids. In accordance with applicable law, right is reserved to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 or towaive minor informalities or non-material exceptions. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
