Repair of sanitary sewer pipe. Manhole No. 2340 Sewer Invert Depth is +- 10.2 Manhole No. 2341 Sewer Invert Depth is +- 10.1 Perform work in strict conformance with Specification Sections 02251-Shoring, Sheeting, and Bracing; 02316- Excavation; 02317-Backfilling; 02370-Slope Protection and Erosion Control; 02500-Laying and Jointing Buried Pipelines; 02507-Buried Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pipe and Fittings; 02632-Point Repair. Remove and replace existing 15-inch diameter pipe with 15-inch diameter PVC SDR 35 +-63-linear feet from Manhole No. 2340 to Manhole No. 2341. o Contractor shall ensure pipe penetrations are sealed and watertight. Mandrel test required upon completion ofwork with GSD staff present. o Minimum pipe slope 0.15% and shall be uniform from manhole to manhole. o Reconnect/repair active encountered "Wye" connection for existing service lines/laterals including drainage pipes that are affected. Limit ofservice lateral repairs is the easement or right-of-way. The cost to be included in the price ofthe lump sum work. o "Wye" connection for new pipe must be a molded integral part ofthe pipe section. o Use ofSaddles are not permissible. o Use of granular bedding (6-inch minimum) for new sewer pipe installation. o Backfill and compact excavated area in accordance with ASTM-D-698 and as specified in the relevant specification sections. Compaction shall be 95 percentage of maximum dry density as determined by the Standard Proctor Test (ASTM-698). o Excavate, remove, and dispose offsite damage sewer and appurtenances. o Contractors shall field verify size, depth and location ofsewer, manholes, and appurtenances. o Contractor shall be responsible for locating all utilities in the project area. o Clean the sewer from Manhole No. 2341 to Manhole No. 2340 and remove all deposits upon completion ofwork. o Televise (CCTV) and video the sewer from Manhole No. 2341 to Manhole No. 2340 upon completion ofwork. o All CCTV videos shall have audio and be done to NASCCO standards. o Submit a copy ofthe CCTV video(s) and inspection log on a flash drive or other forms of digital format, and inspection log to the Engineering Department. Ifthe digital video format quality is deemed substandard, the video will be rejected by the Engineering staff. If video shows leaks or poor workmanship, work shall be remedied and re-CCTV to show the final condition ofthe sewer upon completion and acceptance. o Support/protect utility poles, building structures, driveways, and underground utilities as necessary. o Contractor shall ensure proper flow ofsewage at all times during construction. Provide bypass pumping ofsewage as required. o Contractor shall perform dewatering activities as required. o All work must be done by experienced, trained, and properly certified technicians that are knowledgeable ofthe methods ofinstallation and repair ofsewer pipe and appurtenances. o Secure necessary permits, licenses, and notifications for construction, including but not limited to the Gary Sanitary District Stormwater Permit, Gary Board ofPublic Works and Safety Street Closing Permit and the Gary Board of Public Works and Safety Road Cut Permit. o Perform video ofthe work area to show the condition of all existing surface structures and landscape prior to site mobilizat
