Site work and new construction of a civil project in Gary, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of February 27, 2025, this project has bid for a general contractor. An apparent low bidder has been identified but an award has not been made. A firm timeline for start of construction has not been determined. The proposed Phase 3 project includes: • Installation of approximately 1,300 LF of 63-inch gravity sewer along Chase Street between 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue. • Installation of approximately 1,700 LF of 48-inch force main along Chase Street from 21st Avenue to south of 23rd Avenue. • Relocation of approximately 600 LF of 15-inch gravity sewer along Chase Street between 21st Avenue and 22nd Avenue. • Site restoration, including full-depth pavement replacement. • Complete water service line replacements, as required based on observed materials and disturbance during construction.
