All work for the complete construction of the Project will be under one or more prime contracts with the Owner based on bids received and on combinations awarded. The Environmental Consultant (Alliance Environmental Group) will manage the construction of the Abatement Project. This project will be bid under one (1) category of work as follows: Abatement (asbestos, lead, and mold)\Demolition Environmental Abatement shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents which will be to prospective bidders at the time of the Pre-Bid Conference and Inspection or via electronic mail following the Pre-Bid Conference and Inspection. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, including all additive alternates, must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of their contract amount prior to execution of Contracts. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days before awarding contracts. The Steel City Academy reserves the right to assign each contract awarded under these instructions, in whole or part, applying to only a portion of the Work, to Steel City Academy. Where a part of the work under any contract is assigned, all the work under that contract shall be administered jointly by the Owners as separate contracts in accordance with the Contract Documents.
