As a base scope, the University intends to repurpose the facility as a storage space for Housing & Dining (HD) staging and props used by the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (CSF) and the Department of Theatre & Dance (THDN). The University also intends to study an additive alternate to include training space for the University of Colorado Police Department (CUPD). This RFQ covers the design and improvement of approximately 30,000 square feet to meet the needs of these programs. Planning, Design & Construction has identified the core storage and programmatic requirements. The selected design team will work collaboratively and iteratively with CU Boulder's project team, including planning, project management and key stakeholders from HD, CSF, THDN and CUPD, to refine needs and complete the requisite design.
