Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project includes the overlayand reconstruction of pavementand installation of new sidewalk. Replacement of watermain, firehydrants and valves, where noted on the plans. Concrete work will also include partial removaland construction of new driveway segments as necessary,and construction or replacement of curb & gutter at specified intersections. Storm drainage improvementswill be installed, including HDPEpipe and “sock drain”, associated drainage structures, andgrass swales within the entireproject area. All areas shall include incidentalclearing, pavement cuts/patch,reseeding and restoration, etc. As a general indication to prospective bidders of the size ofthe project, the approximate total length of pavement overlay/ reconstruction is 3,700 linearfeet (LF); length of new sidewalk is approximately 4,400 LF;and length of stormwater pipe isapproximately 3,600 LF.
