The project involves the installation of a concrete pad according to specified requirements for the purpose of installing a new 150 KW natural gas-fueled emergency generator, including a new generator, associated wiring, electrical conduit as needed, fuel piping and connection, and new wiring and conduit from the existing transfer switch to the electrical panel. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The successful bidder may be selected based on a comparative process and other factors, and the owner may waive informalities or minor defects and reject any or all bids. Each bidder must not discriminate on any prohibited basis in employment or provision of services and must certify no conflict of interest or payment of contingent fees. Bids shall include the following: The generator should be placed nearby, as the unit will be disposed of in accordance with North Carolina G.S. 160A. Removal of the current wooden generator stand. Installation of a concrete pad to include the electrical and natural gas supply utility feeds that are properly located within the concrete. The concrete pad shall be a minimum of six inches thick, 12' in length, and six feet wide. The pad shall include rebar embedded on no less than 12" centers. New Generac (or equivalent) 150KW three-phase, 60HZ commercial generator. To include a 600 Amp mainline circuit breaker, battery charger, block heater, battery, and a minimum two-year warranty. The generator shall include an aluminum enclosure designed for protection and noise reduction. Existing transfer switches may be reused. Any additional control wiring shall be included in the bid. Installation of the new Generac generator on the newly poured pad. Include anchors per the manufacturer's specifications, natural gas connection, and all other wiring for a turnkey installation. Replacement of conduit and wiring inside the building from the ATS to the electrical panel, due to existing corrosion. On-site start-up and testing of newly installed generator. Final inspection- The Town shall complete a final inspection to ensure the project is completed as agreed. The Town of Nags Head Building Inspector shall complete an inspection based on the requirements of the North Carolina Building Codes. The complete installation must receive approval from the Building Inspector for project completion and final payment.
