Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project consists of improving traffic operations through the installation of video vehicle detection, connected vehicle units, signal upgrades and signal timing optimization at 15 signalized intersections within the County limits. This Project - The Advanced Traffic Management System (Atms) Phase 2 Project - Involves Traffic Signal Improvements at Fifteen (15) Signalized Intersections Along Two (2) Corridors Within Knox County as Depicted on the Cover Sheet and Key Map. The Work to Be Done Consists of the Installation of New Video Detection Equipment, Connected Vehicle Units, Optimization of Signal Timings, and Other Improvements. This Project Also Consists of Several Intersection Upgrades Within the Project Vicinity. These Upgrades Include, but Are Not Limited to, Pedestrian Signal Additions and Modifications, Phasing Changes, Curb Ramp and Sidewalk Modifications, Pavement Marking Replacement and Upgrade, Replacement of Signal Heads, and Sign Replacement and Additions. These Improvements Are Specifically Detailed on the Individual Intersection Improvement Plan Sheets. The Total Project Length is 2.903 Miles. A Prime Contractor must prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the "Tennessee Code Annotated" and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680-5-3 prequalification of contractors before biddable proposals will be furnished. The COUNTY OF KNOX COUNTY hereby notifies all bidders that a 6.5% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal has been set for this project and must be met or exceeded. The COUNTY OF KNOX COUNTY hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex or disability in consideration for an award.
