Site work for a water / sewer project in Little Rock, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Little Rock Port Authority requests qualifications and performance data from prospective engineering firms to provide design and NEPA for rehabilitation and extension of the Main Terminal Dock, also known as North Dock, at the Port of Little Rock. The initial phase will be for preliminary design, cost estimates and NEPA work; completion of design will be contingent upon availability of funds. Evaluation and selection of the engineering firms will be in accordance with the State of Arkansas Procurement Laws and Rules, Subchapter 8, Procurement of Professional Services. Statements of Qualifications from interested parties are to be addressed to the Little Rock Port Authority, attention Marsha Guffey, 10600 Industrial Harbor Drive, Little Rock, AR 72206. Project will repair the original (1968) dock as needed, extend the dock 200' to the east and build a new 280' return bulkhead wall, demolish the existing dock warehouse and pave the area as part of the expanded dock surface, extend rail services 200' to the east to the end of the expanded dock, and install fencing where needed. The original concept included an overhead gantry crane that would extend barge-wide over the water to provide more efficient operations. The engineer selected for the project will advise whether the overhead gantry crane is desirable, as other options such as a mobile harbor crane could serve the same ends.
