The intent of this Invitation for Bid (lFB) is to obtain the services of a qualified Vendor, or multiple Vendors to provide general trades services including, but not limited to, carpentry, masonry, concrete work, excavation, and other construction related services for Winchester Public Schools (WPS) on an as needed basis It is the intent of WPS that this IFB permits competition . It shall be the bidder's responsibility to advise the Purchasing Agent in writing of any language, requirement, specification, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits the requirements stated in this IFB to a single source. Such notification must be received by the Purchasing Agent or appointed designee not later than ten (10) business days prior to the date set for bids to close. The work to be performed shall consist providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to provide General Trades services to Winchester Public Schools. The type of services provided under this contract include, but may not be limited to, carpentry, masonry, concrete work, excavation, and other construction related services. The intent of WPS is to establish a contract with a qualified Vendor or multiple Vendors from whom WPS can obtain labor, equipment, and materials to provide General Trades services. It shall be at the sole discretion of WPS any and all decisions as to which Vendor shall provide General Trades services for WPS. WPS may choose to deal with only one Vendor for all General Trades services or it may choose to deal with different Vendors for the various types of services defined in this IFB. This is not an exclusive Contract to perform these services for WPS. If WPS determines it is more cost effective or desirable to use alternative means or Contractors to perform similar work, WPS reserves the right to do so.
