Theproject includes the removal and replacement of pipes at four locations on unpaved roads with new corrugated metal pipes to be provided by Emanuel County. Work locations are: Badger Road at Sardis Creek, 0.5 miles East of Prince Williams Road, NE of Kite. Badger Road work includes the removal and replacement of four 84" corrugated metal pipes (CMP) with four polymer coated 84" CMPs to be provided by the County. Pendleton Springs West pipe crossing at Long Creek is 400' East of GA HWY 297. Work includes the removal and replacement of six 60" CMPs with six 60" polymer coated CMPs. Pendleton Springs East pipe crossing at Mill Creek is 1.9 miles East of GA HWY 297. Work includes the removal and replacement of three 72" CMP with three polymer coated 72" CMPs. Condor Road pipe replacement is 1.1 miles East of US HWY 1 and includes the removal and replacement of three 72" CMP with three polymer coated 72" CMPs. All pipes to be provided by the County, pipes will be 40 feet in length. All pipes replacements are on dirt roads. Pipes are to be bedded in No. 5/7 stone and backfilled to the springline with stone and covered in fabric prior to backfill with dirt. Slopes shall receive fabric underlayment and Rip-Rap on both sides. Contractorshallmaintainthefollowinginsurance(a)comprehensive generalliability,includingblanketcontractual,coveringbodilyinjurieswithlimitsofno lessthan$1,000,000peroccurrence,andpropertydamagewithlimitsofnolessthan $1,000,000peroccurrence;and(b)commercialautomobileliability,includingblanket contractual,coveringbodilyinjurieswithlimitsofnolessthan$1,000,000per occurrence,andpropertydamagewithlimitsofnolessthan$1,000,000peraccident(c) statutoryworker'scompensationinsurance,including $1,000,000 employer's liability insurance(d)employeedishonestyand/orcrimescoveragewithrespecttopersonnelof ContractorhavingaccesstoCountybuildings,withlimitsofnolessthan$50,000per occurrence.Allinsuranceshallbeprovidedbyaninsurer(s)acceptabletotheCounty, andshallprovideforthirty(30)dayspriornoticeofcancellationtotheCounty.Upon request,ContractorshalldelivertotheCountyacertificateorpolicyofinsurance evidencingContractor'scompliancewiththisparagraph.Contractorshallabidebyall termsandconditionsoftheinsuranceandshalldonothingtoimpairorinvalidatethe coverage. Thesuccessfulbiddershallsecureandpayforallpermits,assessments,chargesorfees requiredinconnectionwiththeproposedconstruction.Answerstoallquestionsshallbe provided aminimum of72 hours priorto thetimeofthebid. EmanuelCountyreservestherighttorejectanyorallbids,including withoutlimitation,the righttorejectanyandallnonconforming,non-responsive,unbalancedorconditionalbids andtorejectthebidofanybidderwhom the Ownerbelieveswouldnotbeinthebestinterest oftheProjecttomakeanawardtothatbidderwhetherbecausethebidisnotresponsive, thebidderis unqualified, orofdoubtful financial abilityorfailstomeetanyother pertinent standard or criteria established bythe Owner.
