Bid Option 01 Elevator Replacement Includes Selective Demolition of the Existing Elevator and Relevant Equipment and Replacement With a New Elevator All Equipment Needed for a Fully Functioning Elevator. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities. Award of contract is subject to availability of funds. Bids will be held open for 60 days from bid date. This project is a renovation of a portion of the second floor common space of the building on 236 Sharkey Avenue. This summary does not alter, reduce, or increase the scope of work described in the contract documents. BID OPTION 01 - ELEVATOR IMP. Selective demolition includes the removal of the existing central elevator and its relative equipment. A new elevator will be added with the necessary equipment that makes stops at each of the four (4) floors of the Federal Building. All work necessary to bring the elevator up to today's code requirments will be included in the project's scope. BID OPTION 02 - SEISMIC IMP. Selective demolition includes removal of limited portions of interior partition walls, finishes, and limited plumbing fixtures. The existing building enclosure, roof, and structure is to remain. New seismic and fire rated interior partitions will be added to the existing structure and will include steel stud and gypsum board assemblies. Interior finishes will be added including paint, flooring, and ceiling treatments and must meet seismic requirements. Improvements such as bracing, sealing, and fire rating will be made to both existing stairs. Fire-rating requirements for door, door hardware, and closers will be verified and replaced. Additional guardrail safety measures will be added to the existing stairwells. Question Deadline 05/01/2025
