Scope and Specifications: Steeple Chase Golf Club Maintenance - Driveway - Base Bid o Paving - approximately 8,200 square feet of driveway. o Remove existing aggregate, stockpile. o Excavate to new subgrade - on site placement. o Place existing stone for subgrade, 6". o Install additional CA-6 base if needed. o Install 4" HMA Binder Course o Install 2" HMA Surface Course Steeple Chase Golf Club - 2-inch paving overlay hole #12 - Including Prep Work - Alternate A o Paving Overlay - approximately 6,600 square feet of cart path. o Sawcut butt joints for smooth transition from existing asphalt to new asphalt. Approximately 20 lineal feet. o Install 2" of HMA Surface Course, Mix "D" IL-9.5 Asphalt. Installation Instructions: Construction Schedule: o Installation scheduling shall be made with the Golf Course Superintendent or agents in advance to minimize the interruption of Park District services. o Final completion shall be September 29, 2025. Restoration: o Topsoil fill will be required if the pavement is more than 1.5 inches above existing grade upon completion of paving. The contractor will install and supply high quality topsoil, seed, and seed blanket at his own expense to bring the grade to within the 1.5-inch specification. o Turf restoration will be required by the contractor if deemed necessary by the District. Please complete construction during periods of dry soil conditions. o Restoration of damage to public or private property outside the limits of this project and of all existing roads and rights-of-way and easements shall be completed in accordance with the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Department of Transportation, State of Illinois, latest edition
