Question Deadline 04/17/2025 Please refer all questions, comments, or requests for walk-throughs in writing to: Procurement Manager, purchasing@bgky.org The City of Bowling Green, KY is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the painting of the exterior of the Public Works Operations building. The building is approximately 30,000 square feet. The City of Bowling Green shall approve the color once the contractor is awarded the project. The contractor shall first pressure wash the building before spraying new paint and the contractor shall mask off all windows and doors before spraying. It shall be done in sections and during regular business hours. The exterior of the building is metal and the paint used shall be two coats of direct to metal eggshell paint. All shrubbery, sidewalks and asphalt parking areas shall be covered with drop cloths. Any overspray shall be scraped and cleaned of paint drippings. Contractor shall provide a five (5) year warranty on paint and workmanship. The current color is green and the contractor shall provide a new single color based on City approval. Floor plans are attached, however respondents are encouraged to come to the site and look at the building before bidding. The existing brick on the front of the building shall not be included in this bid. Respondents shall include a $5,000 allowance to their bid price for contingency, only to be used upon approval by the City of Bowling Green.
