The project consists of the total replacement of the existing crossing of Latta Brook Road (C.R. 51) over Latta Brook in the Town of Horseheads with a new bridge and the reconstruction of the adjacent roadway sections. The proposed bridge will consist of a single span, adjacent prestressed concrete beams with an asphalt overlay. The superstructure will be supported on cast-in-place concrete abutments founded upon driven steel H-piles. Approximately 235 linear feet of the approach highway will be reconstructed as part of the project. The work on the approaches includes full depth reconstruction and guide rail installation.
