As of September 09, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Reference Number 0000387368 Chemung County plans to replace the existing roof system on the Terminal Building and Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) cab. A visual inspection of the terminal roof was conducted in February of 2024 and again in October of 2024. The visual inspection of the roof revealed many concerns throughout the entire area including leaks, cracks, rusted/broken railings and ladders, poor flashing and trim, and general issues consistent with the age of the roof. Additionally, many unused or abandoned items such as structural dunnage, roof curbs, and mounting systems were documented, increasing locations of potential roofing leaks. It was found that the roofing system has surpassed its expected lifespan and requires replacement.
