Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in University Place, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The scope outlined in the plans and specifications the work also generally includes typical requirements and tasks for construction projects such as mobilization, temporary construction fencing, temporary erosion and sediment control, existing vegetation protection, clearing and grubbing, minor demolition, site cleanup, and anything else required to protect, secure, or otherwise restore to normal the areas adjacent to the project site as well as any access areas used. Parks will be extending electrical service to the sport and event lawn in order to allow for lights, sound systems to make announcements, and other requested infrastructure needed to host regional and statewide competitions. A new prefabricated covered shelter will be added to the Central Meadow area with associated sidewalks and electrical accommodations. There are a few bid alternates included for goose lasers, extended electrical options, and lighted bollards. Pierce County will pay fees for the General Building Permit and Plan Review for this project. The Contractor is responsible for any specialty or other permits required for this project and shall include such fees in their bid. Question Submission Deadline: April 23, 2025, 4:00pm All questions must be submitted within the Pierce County electronic . A 5% bid bond must accompany all bids, and a 100% payment and performance bond will be required from the successful bidder. PROJECT ESTIMATE:$1,250,000.00 - $1,550,000.00 not including WA State Sales Tax *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Substantially Complete All Basic Bid and Alternate Bid Work Within 365 Calendar Days of Notice to Proceed. The Contractor Will Have an Additional 60 Calendar Days to Reach Final Completion and Acceptance for a Total of 425 Calendar Days. Mobilization is Expected to Begin August 12, 2025 The County, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to waive minor bid errors, informalities, and immaterial irregularities when it is in the Countys best interest and does not result in displacement of a low bidder.
