Description Attention all potential Bidders and interested parties, Wantagh Fire District plans to improve their existing training tower with interior room partitions, new finishes to the façade & internal metal components, and a new bulkhead (base scope) at Station #6 located at 2995 Jerusalem Ave in Wantagh, NY 11793. The Fire District is also considering adding a rear roof to the existing structure (alternate #1). All RFIs must be submitted by Tuesday, May 6, 2025. All bids must be accompanied by either a) a certified check payable to the "Wantagh Fire District" in the amount of 5% of the bid price, or b) a bond with sufficient sureties to be approved by the "Wantagh Fire District" in the amount of 5% of the bid price. Performance, Labor and Material payment, and warranty bonds on the forms within the Specifications Book for the full amount of the contract are required and shall be included in the bid price. The time period for FINAL COMPLETION of this contract shall be 90 days from the start of construction, for all work being done simultaneously with base contract from the date of Notice to Proceed by the Architect. The Wantagh Fire District reserves the right to waive any informalities in, to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder or to advertise anew if in the judgment of the Wantagh Fire District it is in their best interests to do so. No bidder shall withdraw his bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. All written Request for Information (RFI) shall be submitted to the Architect no later than three (3) days before Bid Due date, at 1pm The Project consists of the renovation to the Training Tower at the Wantagh F.D. Station #6 property, together with all related work as described by the Contract Documents for the construction.
